Senior Account Manager

Job summary

You’ll be pivotal in solving our clients’ challenges and driving relationship and business growth. You’ll collaborate with our internal teams to develop new solutions that deliver business value for our clients.

With the support of your account director, you’ll create briefs and proposals for global brands, develop strategies to break the mould and seek new business opportunities. Your contribution will be vital in driving Volume Innovate’s account direction and growth for the long term.

For this role, we’re looking for someone who’s ambitious and eager to develop a long-standing career with us. To be successful, you should have an eye for impactful creative, the desire to work on the latest innovative digital solutions and the willingness to keep pace with the market and your clients whilst continually building your expertise and knowledge.

Key responsibilities

  • Taking total responsibility for the control of all work for your clients, ensuring its timely progress through Volume Innovate and that it achieves and exceeds your clients’ expectations
  • Developing a central coordination role for your team, providing accurate briefing and ensuring information is available when required by your own and other teams
  • Being aware of and monitoring clients’ marketing activity and that of their competition, developing an understanding of market dynamics, and client/competitor strategies and objectives
  • Monitoring the accuracy of account and project commercials, maintaining awareness of client expenditure and ensuring the profitability of projects
  • Identifying new business opportunities with existing and new clients
  • Collaborating with the department leads of Volume Innovate to challenge clients and help them find ways to innovate in process, delivery and results

Skills and experience

You’ll have:

  • At least three years’ B2B agency experience
  • The ability to work effectively independently as well as in a team
  • Agency account management experience
  • Experience of managing senior stakeholders
  • A proven track record of successful account growth
  • Commercial and business acumen
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills
